RénoVillage Program
The Rénovillage program seeks to give financial aid to low or modest income households that require major repairs to their owned home or principal residence.
Financial aid
Assistance granted can reach 90% of the cost of eligible work, but cannot exceed 6,500$. The percentage of the financial assistance varies according to the income and the size of the household. The requests for financial assistance will be offered until the budget allocated to the RMC by the SHQ (Société d'habitation du Québec) runs out.
Criteria of Eligibility
This program applies to a single-family home, a permanently installed mobile home or a building with a maximum two (2) residences, with one being used as the owner's primary dwelling.
The maximum standardized value of the residential building cannot exceed 60 000 $, excluding the land.
The property must require renovations of at least 2,000$ related to the one of the following elements: the structure, plumbing, electricity, heating or fire safety.
The work must be carried out by a licensed contractor with appropriate credentials approved by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
