Geographic Location
The RMC of Haute-Gaspésie is geographically located in a large region of Eastern Québec. In the administrative plan, it belongs to the Gaspésie / Îles-de-la-Madeleine region. It includes 9 administrative bodies divided into 8 municipalities, including two cities and the Non-Organized territories (N-OT) (Territoires non Organise (TNO)).
The RMC of Haute-Gaspésie is bordered to the west by the RMC of Matane , in the east by the of RMC of La Côte-de-Gaspé and the south by the RMC of Bonaventure. The RMC of Haute-Gaspésie extends nearly 138 kilometres and covers 5 126.8 km², of which more than 3 600 km² are located in the N-OT. Its geographical position presents a particular significance for tourism, as it is located at the northern entry of the Gaspésienne peninsula, the gateway to the Parc de la Gaspésie.
